South African Child

July, 2017

According to CBC, Canada’s public broadcaster, “A South African child born with HIV has surprised experts by appearing to be effectively cured of the AIDS virus after just a year of treatment, followed by 8½ years drug free.” Perhaps that won’t be a surprise to everyone. Perhaps it is the absence of toxic drugs (except for 40 weeks after birth) that has allowed the child to remain healthy.

So-called experts have to emphasize that this is something shockingly out of the ordinary, otherwise more people would suggest waiting for symptoms before taking drugs. And if that caught on, millions of people might discover that they don’t need antiretroviral drugs to stay healthy. Worse yet, they might find their health improves after stopping the drugs, which would really destroy confidence in these so-called ‘life-saving’ drugs.
